PSMJ’s A/E/C Employer of Choice award is designed to measure the most significant metric that proves the firm truly satisfied employees. This year’s participants represent a diverse group of A/E/C firms from across the United States of America and Canada.
Employees participated in an anonymous survey to help determine the level of employee engagement in the firm. Employee engagement is not the same as employee satisfaction. If you want to have satisfied employees, it can be as simple as just paying them well; giving them great benefits with lots of time off and – most important – don’t demand much of them. If you want engaged employees, a firm needs to create a work environment where they willingly provide discretionary effort on behalf of the company – even when no one is watching them.
